Home/Safeguarding
Your child’s safety is somebody’s named job.
Who is responsible for your child’s safety, how the adults around them are checked, and what to do if you have a concern, including how to reach services outside Mundamind.
Designated Safeguarding Lead
Assigned, not assumed.
Hudeyfa Hassan, co-founder, is our Designated Safeguarding Lead. He is a qualified teacher who works in SEND education. Written safeguarding and child protection procedures sit behind the role.
If your concern is about a member of staff, tell us when you get in touch so it is handled by somebody other than the person concerned.
If your concern is about the Designated Safeguarding Lead, ask to speak to another member of Mundamind Education LLP, or use the external routes below. You do not have to raise it with us at all.
The adults around your child
Checked before they teach.
- Everyone who works with children at Mundamind is vetted. An enhanced DBS check with barred-list checks is completed and confirmed before they work with students.
- Our team combines qualified teachers and subject specialists.
- Every session takes place in person at our Tooting High Street centre, in small groups that a tutor can supervise closely.
If something is wrong
Tell us, or go straight to someone else.
You can contact safeguarding services directly. You do not need to come to us first.
If you believe a child may be at immediate risk, do not wait for a reply from us. Use one of the routes below, or call 999 in an emergency.
If you want to make a formal complaint rather than raise a safeguarding concern, tell us. We handle it under our complaints policy and respond as soon as reasonably possible, and within 28 days. Our safeguarding and complaints policies are available to parents on request. Our privacy notice explains what we hold about parents and students.
